Launching near Lock Four we paddle through the Ajax Achilles lakes, enjoying the birdlife, then out onto the River, where we stop for a cuppa to enjoy the colours of sunset lighting up the magnificent Bookpurnong Cliffs. Next we travel along Gurra Gurra Creek. Pelicans and other waterbirds, possums and kangaroos are common sights.
With 3 different possible exit points you are under no pressure to "make it to the end" but can paddle at your own pace.
