Marion Bay Ocean Safari Althorpe Island Experience

The Althorpe Island Experience cruises out to Althorpe Island which forms part of the Althorpe Islands Conservation Park approximately 4.5 nautical miles from the mainland. The island is home to a large variety of sea birds and marine life including the Australian Sea Lion.

Althorpe Island has played a significant part in maritime history and has a number of state heritage listed structures along with multiple shipwrecks and graves. The time is spent leisurely cruising around the spectacular island before departing for home base. The tour finishes by passing the Eastern Osprey nest where we hope to catch a sighting of these magnificent birds of prey as well as the White Bellied Sea Eagle that nest on a nearby island.

This tour has the best opportunity of observing seals and Australian sea lions.
