Shaw + Smith began over a long lunch in 1989 when cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith decided to realise a long held dream to make wine together. They specialise in Sauvignon Blanc, M3 Chardonnay, cool climate Shiraz and Pinot Noir.
The Tasting Room at Balhannah opens onto a beautiful view of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Guests can enjoy a tasting flight of Shaw + Smith wines complemented by locally selected cheeses for $25 per person. Or a Single Vineyard Wine Flight with an artisan produce plate, for $50.
For a more immersive experience, you can go behind the scenes with the Balhannah Tour, with a hosted tour of the vineyard and winery, followed by a wine tasting and South Australian artisan produce plate. $120 per person.
